We are a week and a half away from meeting our little one and I'm hoping it's sooner than that! I was commissioned to draw this piece for a new mama a few weeks back and it's been one of my favorite things to draw so far. This picture was taken just moments after her babe was placed on her chest for the very first time. There's simply no words to express the sweetness I see in this portrait of a baby looking up at her mama for the first time, content and at peace, knowing somehow that she is completely hers. Oh, how I can't wait for that moment for us to come. I know it will be more overwhelming and surreal and way beyond what we can imagine right now. Just the thought of it brings me to tears. Pure love!
