Boho Inspired Wedding Invitation Suite

Creating wedding invitations are some of my favorite projects. A couple months ago I created this suite for my brother and sister-in- law's wedding and I loved every bit of it. They're outdoor wedding had a laid back feeling with boho elements which made this really fun to dream up and create. Something I love to do when coming up with a fully custom suite is putting in simple details that are personal to the bride and groom. On the back of the invitation I added the illustration of a little picnic seating with their initials etched into the vases. Since they're wedding was outside and had picnic seating during the reception, the illustration gave a sense of what to expect from the wedding and tied in with the whole theme. Almost every part of this suite was hand painted and lettered, giving it a unique and organic look. We printed it on a creamy card stock and added the mossy green envelope to it to tie everything together. I loved designing every part of this from start to finish and loved even more that I got to create it for some of the people I love most!

I listed this suite in my Etsy shop, making it available for any of you planning a wedding in the near future. You can click here to take a look, along with other pieces I have added to the shop for your sweet day.

Honey, I love you Styled Wedding

featured on 100 layer cake wedding blog

I'm so excited to finally be sharing this with you. A tiny inspiration I had a few months back turned into an idea that soon became what you're seeing today.  I teamed up with some pretty great people to help put my vision together for styling and designing of this honey inspired photo shoot. As I was coming up with the story and envisioning the day for this bride and groom the words just seemed to flow as I thought about my own marriage and what I've learned about the beauty of it.

There comes a point in every relationship where we either choose to be known or we choose to hide. Marriage is the magnifying glass to our weaknesses, but is also the sacred place we get to feel known and loved in spite of our flaws. For this couple, they have known the commitment it takes to step into a journey as beautiful as marriage. They know this only by going through the realness and rawness of relationship. Through vulnerability and trust with each other their love has grown organically into something beautiful. Like the relationship of honey and the bee. The bee approaches nectar, fragile and delicate, taking it under his wing to bring into the honeycomb. Through the process of him nurturing and caring for the nectar, it is organically formed into something raw and beautiful. Only then is the nectar made into who it was originally supposed to become, honey. Only then can it be made in to something sweet. This bride and groom has tasted the sweetness of their love as it was always intended to be experienced, through vulnerability, trust, nurturing, and care. They've see each other in their weaknesses, they've embraced each other in their flaws. And at the end of the day they know that through the hard work the sweet taste of a deep and real love is on the other side. And at the end of the day they still choose to say, "Honey, I love you!"

I'm so so happy with how this whole thing turned out and how everyone involved made my vision come to life! So if youre on the hunt for someone to make your day extra special and capturing your vision perfectly, then I highly recommend these lovely people!

Citrus Wedding Suite

A while ago I collaborated with Brushfire Photography designing this invitation suite for their styled desert shoot. Their photos are the most dreamy. Their eye for capturing beauty makes every photo feel so genuine and real. Seriously, I could spend endless hours staring at their work. I went for an organic look to go along with the theme using watercolor and my own hand lettering. The photo shoot was also featured in Magnolia Rogue magazine and I was honored to be a part of it. For more of their dreamy photos check out their website here.

Chalkboard Wedding Invitation

A good friend of mine recently got married and asked me to design the wedding invitations for her. I was so excited when she asked me to do this. Almost as excited as I was for their big day! They had a rustic theme wedding inside the cutest little venue down in Tuscon, Arizona called Park Avenue. It made me want to have a wedding all over again (minus all the planning and stress!). I was sad to miss out on her day since we were on the other side of the world, but I know this wedding was bound to be a beautiful one just based on the couple alone. And judging from the few photos I saw floating around, it definitely was.

Whimsical Garden Wedding Invitations

It's always so fun when a friend asks me to create the wedding invitations for their special day. My friend, Alex, came to me with the idea of having a less traditional invitation suite. I loved taking her idea and putting it to paper, making her vision come to life using watercolor for all the floral images mixed in with my own hand lettering. I am happy to say she was quite pleased with the result as well, which is always the best part. The two got married a month ago in the sweetest little white chapel and I was thrilled to be a part of their day in this small way.

Rustic Wedding

A little while back I made these signs for an outdoor rustic wedding. I had lettered and painted each sign. Making pretty things for weddings to come alive is always a treat. And I'm happy to say the bride was quite pleased with them as well.

Desert Styled Wedding

I'm excited to finally share with you the lovely photo shoot I was a part of a couple months back. When Charity asked me to be a part of this by designing the invitations, and anything else I could come up with, I was quick to jump on board. A few of us teamed up to create a simple and elegant desert themed wedding and boy was it more dreamy than what I pictured it would be. It's funny, living in the desert and seeing brown every where around me, I don't quite think of this place as being the most elegant, dreamy, or pretty per say, but after getting together with a few other talented women to create this ambiance its as though the desert scape completely changed before my eyes. The sunset view was perfect and the color scheme couldn't have fit better with what we were trying to execute. It was a pretty fun evening getting to see it all come together in real life. So for all you Phoenician brides out there who may think that Arizona is the last place to have a dreamy wedding, take a look at these photos and think again!
